Request for Proposals to Support Faculty Affiliates
The Program Evaluation and Research Center seeks to support current and future faculty affiliates in development of projects that simultaneously advance the Center and individual faculty member's professional interests. $6,000 total funding is available for awards of up to $3,000 each. PERC graduate research assistants will provide limited support for funded projects, at no cost.
Faculty developing proposals are encouraged to review this website, including newsletters regarding PERC's mission and goals, as well as descriptions of pervious awards under this mechanism. We are particularly interested in supporting projects that strengthen PERC affiliates' ability to gain extramural funding for research or program development and implementation, fund graduate students, and publish scholarly work. Proposals that are most competitive will be connected to PERC's mission and goals, will clearly advance the faculty member's research agenda, and will detail specific deliverables including submission of external funding proposals or publications of scholarly work.
Proposals should use the following organizational structure:
- Project objectives, actions, and deliverables: What will be accomplished with funding? Clear, specific, measurable activity and realistic deliverables are critical.
- Project connections to your professional interests: How will your research agenda be enhanced by this project?
- Budget and Budget Justification using WVU OSP templates (year 1 only, F&A=0%).
CEHS's EBO office can help, if needed.
All proposals must be submitted as e-mail attachments (Microsoft Word or Adobe Acrobat file addressing 1 and 2 above plus completed Budget and Budget Justification template files) to PERC Director, Lucas Moore by [2017 Date TBA]. Proposals will be reviewed by PERC Affiliates and graduate student researchers who do not submit proposals with notification of funding. Those funded are expected to be or become PERC Faculty Affiliates and to provide a final report at the conclusion of the funding period describing what was accomplished, including development of proposal(s) for external funding and manuscript(s) for scholarly publication.
Please contact Lucas Moore with any questions.
